Innova Termite

Hey All! One of the things we hear a lot around the change of the season is that homes that have been recently fumigated are seeing new "signs" of the termites they thought they'd gotten rid of. We are here to tell you, they're probably not back. Fumigations rarely fail to eradicate all drywood termites. But as much as the termites are gone, their..... treasures aren't. Pellets (termite poop) left behind remain in the galleries after the termites have expired and will occasi...onally filter out of convenient places as your home settles. Places that get a lot of movement like door frames and window trim are often place you will see pellets appear. As the heat soars, caulked areas can fail and you may all the sudden find yourself with a pile of poop that looks like your little buddies have moved back in. The best thing to do in these situations is send us one some clear photos of what you are seeing so we can assuage your fears that the termites remain. Other maintenance chores that can help are to recaulk around doors and windows and keep stucco and painting good repair. The good news is, that if it really is the termites, your warranty should cover it if you're within 3 years of your fumigation.
