Hello Supporters, Friends and Families of InnerMission, We sure do miss you! As some of you know or don't know InnerMission was in the process of gearing up for some new and exciting endeavours. We were just in the beginning of rehearsals for the regional premiere of beloved local playwright Jenny Lane's play "Matrescence" to be directed by the equally beloved Heidi Handelsman. We were also in the beginning stages of planning a new intern program to be led by Artistic Direct...or Kym Pappas. So many of you donated so generously to that effort and we are beyond grateful. At this point everything is on hold and uncertain but here is what we do know: 1. We will produce "Matrescence" the minute we get the green light to move forward. 2. The intern program will begin as soon as we are able to coordinate a calendar with all of our various partners in the community. 3. We miss telling stories and have no intention of stopping. We have been so blessed by you all and have been truly in awe at how this community has come together to continue to provide arts engagement to patrons and to the public. Artists are a resilient bunch and necessary to the healing process when life will inevitably go back to some new normal. Thank you to those of you that have reached out and to those of you that continue to support us and all of the "small" but mighty theatres in San Diego. We look ahead to the time that we can sit in a dark room with you all again and tell more stories. Until then please be healthy, be well and continue to support the arts as much as you are able.
