This year instead of having our regular Holiday party out we had to have a holiday dinner in. (Don’t worry we’ve all been together exclusively and have been testing ourselves regularly) We decked out the clinic and in true #injectability fashion, we fit in a ton of events in one day. It was our holiday/awards viewing party, hair/makeup and photo shoot headquarters. Did you know it is illegal to base a medical provider’s pay off of their sales (commission)? We actually agree it should be illegal, and we think our patients appreciate that too. The medical board believes, as do we, that it is unethical to pay a licensed medical provider who is making medical decisions for the well-being of their patients based on how much, or how expensive the medication is that they use. At InjectAbility, we want medical providers to make dosing decision...s based on your actual needs, not on how much money they will make if you get a certain dose, and that is why our providers are not, and never will be, paid based on commission. We think this should give our patients peace of mind that if we suggest a certain dose, or amount of fillers, in our professional opinion, we actually think you need that dose. We also do not entice or incentivize our patients for referrals or for reviews, this too falls under the anti-kickback statute. We hope that your referrals and reviews are genuinely out of good will that you believe your friends and family members would get exceptional service at our office. Even though anti-kickback laws are considered a federal statute, the prohibitions vary from state to state. In California, for example the penalty for violating this law is up to one year imprisonment or a fine up to $50,000. Despite this potential discipline, it is estimated that over 70% of providers in medical aesthetics have their base pay based on commission (TitanRecruiting). We understand that with these high percentages, we are likely to ruffle some feathers with a post like this but, it is still important to get the message out there to providers who may not be aware of this statute. Instagram is all about the lips, and although we personally think that the foundational support to the lips is most important, sometimes it’s fun to get in on the lip game. If one wants much fuller lips, the safest way to do that is to build the structure in stages. The above results were captured chronologically over the course of 15 months. More often than not, people are afraid that one syringe will look too done, but as you can see here, 3 syringes of #lipfiller can still look natural, but luscious.
