CA. 1960 steel work bench made by Lyon Manufacturing restored and refinished by me. It features classic brick red paint and a steel top with crazy patina created from years of hard service in a machine shop in southern CA. Very sturdy and functional as a kitchen island, desk, arts and crafts table, or in your work shop. This kitchen island or desk is monumental in size, loaded with character, and exhibits a warm glow from the vintage bowling lane top in contrast to the raw steel which surrounds it. The top is 2.5 inch thick Rock Maple from a mid century bowling alley here in LA. The base is also mid century vintage made by Lyon manufacturing featuring Burnt Orange paint with Black highlights. This is the largest table I have built so far. It is 10 feet long 3 and a half feet wide 30 inches high. The top is 2 and a half inches thick and the table weighs about 450 pounds.
