This is normal. The light comes on to let you know the exhaust brake is working. You can disable it, however that is not recommended for most drivers. For more detailed info, please watch the video.

You can drive it while its going. Once the light goes off, the truck can be turned off if you were waiting. This is the process 99% of the time.... Never ignore a flashing DPF light. If its not pulled over and put into park within the timeline, the truck can malfunction! You have about 30 minutes to pull over. Most regens are complete within 20 minutes!
