My final pointer for you is to make sure you are saving your clients and vendors using your #CRM, or Customer Relationship Management system. ... A CRM could include a paid for software, like Insightly/Salesforce or even a simple Excel/Google Sheets document. Whether your business is brand new or 20 years in the making, have your clients contact information organized is key to running your business efficiently and having the means to have growth! If you are just starting out with creating a client contact tracking system make sure to track the 4 main items : name, mobile phone, email, and what is their preferred method of contact (email, text, call). Someone asked me, "How do I know if I am running efficiently?" Your business may be successful and your tasks may get completed... but does that mean you are being efficient? Not exactly. ... Here is 5 easy steps to do a self-audit of your efficiency: 1) Take out a blank paper and write every single thing you are doing that day as you do them. Nothing is too small to write down. Ex. 5 min answer email, 10 min incoming call client, 5 min scroll IG, 10 min calling leads, etc 2) Write out what your ideal day looks like Ex. 1 hour working on new sales idea, 2 hours calling potential clients, 2 hours working existing client work, 30 min employee connecting, etc. 3) Compare the two lists. Did you do the things you ideally wanted to be working on? 4) Go through and highlight your big "time suck" activities. Did you spend 2 hours on emails? 45 min on social media? 2 hours on random calls? 5) Go over those time suck items and ask yourself "Could someone else have done this instead of me?" If the answer is yes, you need to delegate or outsource. I know it's difficult to relinquish control, but it's essential in maximizing your efficiency and ensuring your precious time is spent working on the items that generate revenue and keep your business growing not just going. When people ask me what I do, I normally say that I'm a consultant, but not what you normally think of as a "consultant". Typically, a consultant is someone who points out where you have areas to grow, gives you specific advice on how to fix those areas and says we will touch base in X number of days. Hey there! I have quite a few new followers so I figured now would be a great time to share five fun facts about me! 1) I was a micro-preemie and weighed only 2lbs 8oz! 2) Because of that, I was told that I could never have kids, as my body wouldn't be able to fully support another life - this week we celebrated my amazing and healthy son's 4th birthday!... 3) From the time I was 4 until 19 I wanted to be a Neurosurgeon. 4) I would rather re-watch a show I've seen 100x than watch a new show. My go-to is Gilmore Girls and The Office. I mean, come on, do you really need anything else?!? 5) I had to change high schools my Freshman year because I was allergic to the pesticide my school used in their grass and had to move to a cross town school that had no grass haha Tell me one fun fact about you!!
