Recently musing life in the surreal, our thoughts turned to a milestone birthday party we were honored to collaborate in. Surreal at 60 pushed imagination and creativity into the beyond and the results were gloriously fun. We are still smiling thinking of all the intricate, thoughtful details and innovation that went into this event. And of course, lighting played a pivotal role. Even though we enjoy a nearly endless summer in Southern California, there is something so special about the season. Longer days, balmy evenings, and friends getting together for milestone events, or just because. We are here to help you light the way!

During our lifetimes, we’ve witnessed profound changes in cultural attitudes on topics that are personal as well as ones we hold dear. Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come when we are focused on how far we still need to go. Society views on human rights, lifestyles and relationships have broadened in the past few decades to a point previously unimaginable with acceptance, inclusion, and understanding becoming the norm with each passing day. It’s with profound thanks and g...ratitude when we can align professionally with organizations that promote human and civil rights issues. We are honored to have been chosen as lighting vendor for Outfests’ annual Los Angeles pride month celebration for the past several years. While this year, the festive event was curtailed due to city safety measures, there is no doubt many people positively affected by the important work Outfest has successfully brought forth, celebrated in some fashion. We also thank our client, HBO, for bringing stories of courage, hope and legal precedents to the viewing audience, garnering greater understanding and support from the public. We know there is work ahead but let’s take a moment to pause and recognize the great distance we have come in just the past 30 years. And unlike the dreams of past, where equality and freedoms seemed an impossible dream, we now know that future generations will appreciate the continued fight and victories of today but will struggle to understand why the fight was needed. We know, we know. When are we ever going to get back to the business of celebrating? Celebrations of milestones, friendships, and life itself people coming together is the best part of the human condition and we miss it! We’ve found a way to kick those isolation blues to the curb in a way that is safe, creative and fun! If you know anything about the Images team, you know we’re not ones to sit still without a creative outlet. We brainstormed and put together some ideas tha...t we’re really excited about, and confident they will turn our black and white days of sameness into living color celebrations. We’ve partnered with industry friends and put together various sized packages of conceptual designs that incorporate virtual elements with social distancing that will get us back into the art of celebration. Our audio/visual and lighting packages range from the smaller, more intimate options of 10 or 20 persons per location, to larger festivities taking advantage of the warm, beautiful weather in open air areas. TBT to a moment in time from our favorite season- awards season! The glamour, pageantry, creativity and camaraderie. We are humbled to work among such talented planners and vendors that bring these beautiful productions to a flawless finish to the enjoyment of many.

This week the beaches in Southern California provided dramatic Images by Lighting- nature style, with an event worth highlighting! Neon colored waves mesmerized onlookers, reminding us of mother nature’s beauty. As lighting designers, we’re always viewing the world with creative curiosity, finding ways to adapt beautiful visuals we see so our clients and their guests will experience the ‘wow!’ factor we strive for in each of our events. Warehouse storage space available We at Images are keeping busy, using our time to attend educational webinars, streamlining office processes where possible and organizing all things possible, to include our warehouse (using all recommended safety practices). As such, we recognize that we have geographically convenient storage space available that we have decided to offer for short term lease. Optimally, we would like to work with organizations that we have an existing, ...trusted relationship with, and offer the opportunity to you, or contacts within your network who are seeking storage space in the LAX area. The available 4,400 sq ft of industrial warehouse storage space can be leased in its entirety (110’ x 40’) or a subsection of 2,600 sq ft (65’ x 40’). Space features high industrial ceilings, (2) roll up loading doors, (1) pedestrian door, easy driveway access, locked gates, 24/7 CCTV and proximity to LAX and freeways. We are leasing the space for storage only, meaning it is not for use of onsite personnel nor does it include parking. The opportunity is available immediately for a lease term of 3 months to 1 year at $1.35 per sq ft.
