Diabolik! Conduce l’incontro Mario Bellina, autore e sceneggiatore televisivo. On air now!
"L’italiano fra parola e immagine: una passeggiata attraverso la storia" is the title of Valeria Della Valle and Giuseppe Patota's contribution to the 20th Week of the Italian Language in the World. The two renowned scholars have created a path through words and images granting the public direct access to documents and historic testimonies.
TONIGHT AT 6:00PM, on this page: Explore some of the most important steps in the history of the Italian Language with Valeria Della Valle and Giuseppe Patota. Take a virtual visit to an ancient Roman church and discover the oldest comic strip in history, and to Tuscany, where they'll read a sonnet by Dante, the father of the Italian language. A detail in one of Andrea del Sarto's paintings will then prompt them to read one of Francesco Petrarch's famous verses dedicated to his muse, Laura. They will discuss Machiavelli's prose, invoking Leonardo Da Vinci's brilliance, who was not only a great artist, but a great cartographer as well.
