UPDATE @ 1:30 p.m. - The Evacuation Order has been lifted for all residents West of Highways 74 and 243. An Evacuation Order remains in place for residents East of Highways 74 and 243 from Keenwild Fire Station to the north and Keen Camp Rd. to the south. Please use caution returning to the area as fire crews continue to work. [UPDATE] 12:30 p.m. - All road closures in the area of the Bonita Fire have been lifted, with the exception of Highway 74 from Mountain Center to Lake Hemet. This area will be reduced to one lane with law enforcement escorts around 2 p.m. according to CHP. Most up to date info on the #BonitaFire. As of 6:35am, 600 acres with 5% containment.

The Bonita Fire is 250 acres and started at 1:16 a.m. Mountain Center has been evacuated. Hard road closures: Highway 74 from Morris Ranch Road to Strawberry Creek and Highway 243 at Saunders Meadow Road. Updates will be posted when available. #bonitafire

Update: In case you missed it yesterday, according to SCE’s website, the community crew will be set up in front of Town Hall at 25925 Cedar St. Idyllwild, 92549 on Tuesday, 12/8/20 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
