Weather permitting, we will hold our General Meeting outdoors in our IBEW 477 parking lot with COVID compliant guidelines and social distancing. Temperature checks, face masks required. We will not be serving dinner.

Last night an IBEW member, Mike Fiore from local 29, introduced the President as he laid out his economic vision for the country. 110 years ago today the Triangle Shirt Waist Fire took the lives of 146 workers. This tragedy would be the catalyst for several legislative reforms designed to protect workers which are still in effect to this day.

-MESSAGE FROM THE BUSINESS MANAGER- POSITIVE COVID-19 CASE- 477 STAFF Sisters and Brothers I regret to inform you that one of our staff members has tested positive for COVID-19. On Monday September 21st, A staff member informed me that they had a headache and lack of taste. Out of cation, they went to go get tested for COVID-19. On Tuesday September 22nd they informed me that their test came back positive for COVID-19. Moving forward I have required all... staff to get tested for COVID-19. The following protocols are implemented effective Tuesday September 22nd: All staff were directed to not conduct jobsite visits until test results come back. The Hall will be completely disinfected this evening to ensure a clean and safe workplace. Employees only will be allowed to enter upstairs until test results come back. The "Out of Work Book" will still be available downstairs for the members. All in person sales will be cancelled until I can ensure a safe area for everyone. On a sad note. Brother William Simmons passed away on 9/16/2020 he was a 5 year member at the age of 37, Services are Unknown at this time.

We need to all vote NO on Prop 22. In the middle of a global pandemic, the greedy GIG companies are trying to strip tens of thousands of workers of their rights. NO on Prop 22
