Got a little chubby over the summer ... it was one of those circumstances where I wasn’t tracking my calorie intake and eating southern cooking daily (Tennessee). YIKES... it adds up fast when your not paying attention. I’m thankful for friends who tell me how it is... basically, lose that extra fat and get back back on track is what I was told. This kickstarted me into adding more fitness into my day and also implementing a meal plan. When being in a calorie deficit I always recommend low calorie/high volume foods. This was key is losing that extra weight. Goal is to stay around 205 with a body fat percentage around 10-12% ... not there yet but let’s see what I can muster up by the end of the year

Been telling people for the past week I’ll be 29 today. Turns out I’m actually 28. Here’s to being a year younger than I thought I was. Also, it’s been almost 3 weeks now since I went on a calorie deficit meal plan. I started at 225 lbs. and woke up this morning at 210. Goal is still 205 so I’ll keep grinding for now

So people want to lose weight by jogging on a treadmill for 30-60 minutes while their heart rate stays below a fat burning level... if that makes you happy then go for it. However, I spend my time getting my cardio in by playing team sports, boxing, chopping wood, sledge hammer and tire, lifting weights in a HIIT style, field sprints, hill runs, tire flips... basically anything that looks cool on camera. If it looks awesome on camera chances are you are having a good time whi...le burning fat. Also notice that all these cardio movements can skyrocket an individual’s heart rate if done properly. As of 3 days ago I weighed in at 225. I’m currently adding a strict meal plan and cardio routine into my weight training plan. My goal is to hit 205 before my birthday (August 10). Currently enjoying the added work and dedication. After all, God made our bodies in his image so why not treat it as a holy temple?

If you are a healthy individual and not incorporating farmer walks into your program then you should rethink things. It’s been a while since I have been able to do these (separated shoulder) but I’m super happy to be able to get back to doing heavy sets. Full body movement that gets you stronger while getting the heart rate up. Love em! Also, shout out to @wisenose_props for making the DIY farmer walk handles.
