Acorn Wireless is working with the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District and several tribal departments to offset costs for student households, program participants, clients, etc. Acorn Wireless is a new Wireless internet provider here in Hoopa and one huge advantage is that we will utilize 3 different distribution towers throughout the valley. We are actively seeking funding sources to apply for stimulus, federal and state funding sources to alleviate the installati...on and monthly costs for our community. In an effort to be transparent, the subscriber module is $280, mounting kit and bracket is $110, cabling is roughly $15 (depending on how many feet are installed), router is $100 and if needed the ground mounted pole cost is $25. All of those hard costs total $530, leaving $220 to cover the cost of a site survey, wireless engineering, labor and other overhead costs. Again, we are actively seeking funds to offset these charges, but whatever installation costs are incurred can be paid off over a 2- year period in equal installments. Acorn Wireless is completing a business plan as part of a BIA grant and a Technical Assistance grant through the CPUC, which will help shape our financial model moving forward as our goal is to be a self-sustaining entity. We thank you for your continued support. Please find attached a slightly refined application.

Acorn Wireless is accepting applications for Interest for Service. Please find attached the two pages to complete and return to this office. Your address will be compared to predictive heat maps so that we can determine the best access and frequency for your service location. Acorn Wireless is facilitating a beta testing program for the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District. Once our network is robust and all network issues have been remedied, we will complete all installations for the school district and begin to install for the community. This application can also be found on our website www.hoopavalleypud.com under Forms and Reports. We have applications available at the Diatrict Office or you can request staff to mail you a copy. We thank you for your patience and support!

Acorn Wireless, EnerTribe and Yurok Connect installed a mount and ice shield at the Horse Mountain Tower for our microwave backhaul. This location is over 4500 feet and is impacted by winter weather. The ice shield will help prevent falling ice and snow from damaging our antennea.

No one can prevent storms or acts of nature. HVPUD and Hunter Commuincations will be partnering on a fiber optic build, wireless and middle mile infrastructure project. Hunter is responsive and repaired the fiber optic line today that was broken by fallen trees. Hunter Communications
