27/28 - Lincoln Cafe (@lincolnpasadena) made the list! Here's their chicken farro bowl, and yes, it was as delicious as it looks!
26/28 - @realfooddaily has a yummy build your own bowl, so I made mine with spicy veggie sausage, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes!
25/28 - We've begun compiling a list of restaurants close to the Pasadena area that we know serve detox friendly (and delicious) meals. 24/28 - Wouldn't you know it we love it here at @amarakitchen, finally came back for that spicy chicken quinoa bowl I've been craving @ Amara Kitchen - Los Angeles
23/28 - Homemade avocado toast on rice flour bread spread with chipotle veganaise, seasoned with candied salmon and truffle vinegar
22/28 - We are in the home stretch now! Reintroduction of all food groups is complete with approved meats and sweeteners! One final week of the full food list and we are done with the 28 day program! Today's lunch is a mango chicken bowl from Lemonade, delicious!
20,21/28 - Forgot to post this weekend but got an açaí bowl from @amazebowls, vegan buffalo cauliflower mac and cheese from @avocadamama, spicy vegan jackfruit noodles, and hibiscus agave cold brew tea from @the_base_co. All this we found at @smorgasburgla! @ Smorgasburg Los Angeles
We're back at @amarakitchen for their sweet potato quesadilla! The tortilla is made from brown rice and filled with chipotle sweet potato mash, beans, avocado, tomatoes, and salsa! Scrumptious!
18/28 - Can you tell we like salmon yet? If you haven't tried it yet, we highly recommend @true_food_kitchen's salmon, they really know how to cook it to perfection! Juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor! @ True Food Kitchen
17/28 - Back at Sage for breakfast, this time trying the street tacos! The jackfruit "carnitas" are delicious, and reintroducing legumes and grains means we can enjoy the beans as well! Ginger tea to top it all off, yum!
16/28 - Salmon patty crumbled into a chimichurri rice dish If you're wondering why we've been having so much salmon, it's because it contains omega 3 fatty acids (which your body cannot make on its own) that aid in #hearthealth, reducing inflammation, and much more! The recommended ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids is 4:1, but the standard American diet has a ratio closer to 50:1! Get those omega 3 numbers up with some salmon!
15/28 - No, this is not an actual picture of the Paleo zucchini noodle bowl from @veggiegrill. Yes, I did devour the entire plate before remembering to take a picture of it. Don't judge me, it's absolutely delicious.
14/28 - Forgot to post yesterday, but we finally got to reintroduce the full list fruits and vegetables, so we celebrated with an Açaí bowl from @thekindsage topped with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, coconut shavings, and goji berries! Yum!
