Winter is officially here! With our recent cold spell, it only means that many winter-season vegetables like carrots, cabbage, broccoli, kale, brussel sprouts and greens taste better. This is because as temperatures drop, the cold causes the plants to break down energy and store it into sugar, leading to a sweeter, tastier flavor.
