We appreciate the tireless efforts of the referees and staff for a fair and smooth competition. Multi-generation Family Team divisions were a first ever for the World Poomsae Championship. In the competition invitation, WT President Chungwon Choue, stated, we encourage families to participate and grow stronger together. Grow stronger together, we did. The whole journey was an unforgettable experience for our 3 generation family team. It was spearheaded by Grandmaster Khue Pham as something fun to do during the pandemic. When Grandmaster/Dad/Grandpa makes a decision, the only acceptable response is yes sir. Something fun resulted in an achievement we never fathomed, a medal at Worlds. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach an agreement with the landlord. Today will be our last day running classes at this location. Starting August 31, 2020, Hung Vuong Institute will virtually operate online until we establish our new physical location (TBD). Our current clas...s schedule and Zoom meeting links/codes will remain the same. 2020 marks 45 years for Hung Vuong Institute. In 1975, Grandmaster Khue Pham started our school by teaching martial arts to his neighbors in his garage. After 7 different locations through the years, we look forward to our next adventure. Martial arts training not only makes us stronger physically, but also develops mental fortitude and indomitable spirit to persevere through challenging times. To all our families that have been affected by COVID-19, the SCU Lightning Complex fire or anything else, know that we are a community that supports each other unconditionally.
