Our seedlings are started in a mix of coir and vermiculite. We add both worm castings and fresh compost created here at the Hungry Gardens. The seedlings are jumpstarted with a biodynamic compost tea. This incredible mix starts the most ideal soils conditions possible. Ever wonder what 6k baby tomatoes look like? There are 5k coming up too on other racks! They are loving the warm greenhouse, which stays around 70-75 degrees, despite the high 40’s we have right now outside. The greenhouse gets a lot of sun but I have been supplementing with grow lights.
