Working on a new definition for the Humanities major page. Feedback is appreciated: An exploration of the depth, breadth, and wondrous complexity of human thought and creativity -- this is the humanities. Humanities students seek to understand the questions, ideas, and values at the heart of creative, intellectual, and spiritual expressions. We closely examine works of individual, cultural, and social significance from various cultures through a variety of different lenses (historical, philosophical, literary, artistic, musical, etc.) in an attempt to better understand and appreciate our shared humanity. In exploring human expression from multiple perspectives, we gain a foundation of thought from which we are able to analyze, interpret, and re-imagine new futures for ourselves and our communities.

A bit of inspiration today. A wonderful melody for this classic text.
