I am happy to announce a new piece of art in my #etsy store: The "Manuia". 20 x 16" on smooooth photo paper. This is my interpretation of a traditional Polynesian tiki bowl, depicted as a boat that carries some seafaring Marquesan tikis through the night on a mystical journey. I named the vessel Manuia, the Tahitian word for Cheers / To Your Health.... Free shipping in the US. I am also looking into producing this as an actual tiki bowl, please stay tuned....

A little fundraiser for good: Head over to my friends @kontigotikibar to win 1 of my latest art prints The Manuia Bowl (Not in stores anywhere) This is my vision of a traditional Polynesian tiki bowl, depicted as a boat that carries some seafaring tikis through the night on a mystical journey. I named the vessel Manuia, the Tahitian word for Cheers / To Your Health.... It is inspired by the traditional carvings of French Polynesia, when I came across a story about the island of Ua Hula in the Marquesas, which is renowned for its woodcarvings and where master craftsmen celebrate sculpture as a living art. Check out the magnificent work that comes from these little islands. @kontigotikibar likes to raise funds for some of our Tiki Ohana and auctions off these prints, so go check it out on their feed! Right away. Maybe someone would like to work with me to bring this bowl to life??? Tag a recommendation. Mahalo!
