Today, on Vietnam Veterans Day, and every day, we at Huey Vets honor and remember the men and women who served during the Vietnam War. We recognize all who served and your continued sacrifices.

Here is a video we put together of our Flyover Salute to Healthcare Workers and Last Responders (funeral home workers) in hard hit Santa Clara County, CA. We felt these hardworking men and women deserved more than a just a flyover, so we circled each location multiple times and also did a low pass at each one! It was a lot of work to coordinate this flyover event and our entire crew, as well as several other people, stepped up and did what needed to be done to pull this off!

The EMU 309 crew stepped up to do a flyover salute to the healthcare workers and last responders in hard hit Santa Clara county. Deputies from the Santa Clara Sheriff's Department stopped by to send us off on our journey. During the Vietnam War, this iconic Huey Helicopter was a welcome sight to Americans fighting on the front lines. Fifty years later, this Huey Helicopter was once again a morale booster to those fighting on the front lines in Santa Clara’s County.

Two years ago today, we lost one of our own. This was our final salute - a flyover of Randy's military committal service at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. What greater honor, that when a man moves forward, he leaves behind in each of us the best of what he was. Those of us who remain behind, remember, and will continue to remember Randy, because he now resides forever in our hearts. Randy, your final mission has been completed and the landing secured. Rest easy my friend. You will not be forgotten.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to participate in any Memorial Day events this year.
