This morning, skaters and friends from three different generations got together for a little rolling around fun and smack talking at the Carmel Valley Pump Track. T-Mag and Cookiehead had gotten a call from Dave Andrecht (yes, that Andrecht) that him and the legendary Master of Disaster Duane Peters were gonna get together for a track session, now that Duane is on the mend. Also there, was Steve Cathey, legendary 70’s classic California skater. While we cannot divulge any det...ails of what was actually said in between runs, it was better than any comedy show you could hope to come across. And it was great to see Duane back to rolling again, after a long recovery. T-Mag also finally got it confirmed from Steve that axle drops were first called Cathey drops when he first did them way back in the original 70’s skateparks, like Oasis right here in San Diego. Promises were made that this would not be the only track session, so stand by for more fun in the sun at this classic Southern California spot. And if you ever have the opportunity to visit the Carmel Valley track, it’s highly recommended. Super easy riding, heavy leg work out if you do just a few laps in a row and just downright cruisin’ fun for all. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

Daniel Harold Sturt was one of the best skate photographers back in the day, working for all the big magazines at the time, including Thrasher. Darin Cookiehead Jenkins shot this classic gap that is 10 Ft down and 18 Ft out with Sturt and recalls the story this way; I was out filming some street in ‘92, it's kinda when vert was dead and small wheels and big pants was the thing. There was a chunky gap I had been eyeballing for a while, so I was with the guys and we drove pa...st it and my buddy Josh said,I think it's a good time to try that! I was really not in the mood but I had said that I wanted to do it! So I hucked myself down this ice plant mountain to success and I had to do it several times before Sturt was able to shoot just the right angle. I am proud that they named it the Cookiehead Gap. What an honor to this day in 2021! Keep an open mind and skate it all. Due to popular demand, we are making another batch of a 100 of the Cookiehead Everslick, in a new colorway. You can pre-order this now, until the 100 are gone. And by all means, check out the regular street shapes and T-Shirt while you’re at the all the new online H-Street shop. #hstreetskateboards

After having shot the video, Cookiehead went back to Bob’s Concrete Dragon to shoot the Madonna photo with Chris Dangaard in a super rad session with Julian Torres, Kiko, Bucky, T-Mag and Brazilian ripper and owner of the local skateshop Urban Skateshop, Christiano. Darin is riding the Danny Way Heavy Metal Train colab deck with Plan B and XYZ. His upcoming model Sword and Cookie Skull can be pre-ordered at the all new H-Street online shop by clicking the link in the photo an...d you get a 15% discount while it’s available for pre-order. Towards the end of the session, Bob’s daughter Lotus was in town and came down to the skate compound area to say hi and everyone was so pleasantly surprised. She is currently living in Texas and is an upcoming and talented artist, so of course, talks of graphics immediately ensued. Stand by for more info on that. Legendary H-Street rider Marcelle Johnson came to check out the heavy sesh with Lifer Art Howe. Along with T-Mag, the three of them have conspired to design an all new model for Marcelle that is quite the concept. We can reveal it’s a tribute graphic, along the lines of Cookiehead but quite different. So stand by for more on for that too. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

T-Mag got together with young ripper Cona Suganami at Cardiff skatepark, when Danny Way decided to make an appearance and carve up the bowl. Cona also got the all new Alpha Girls deck specially made for her, designed by Devyn Raye, H-Street super artist Fian Arroyo’s talented young daughter. It was a heated sesh, with Cona show casing serious bowl skills and T-Mag brushing off the old lines, as he hadn’t skated there for a while, since reviving Bob’s legendary Concrete Drago...n and moving to Vista. Cona was there with her younger sister and brother, both upcoming rippers in their own right. The pizza party afterwards was just as fun as the session. We’ll be looking forward to watching Cona progress and develop her skateboarding and we’re certain there’ll be some CCD photos of her posted soon enough. In the meantime, you can pick up Devyn’s Smiling Sun deck at the all new online H-Street shop in 8 and 8.5. #hstreetskateboards #alphagirls

Big Wednesday took a turn for the totally crazy when Navarette put a small halfpipe, kinda of a mini vert ramp in his tiny front yard in super crowded Mission Beach. This ramp was maybe 6 Ft wide and 6 Ft tall, with a half a foot of vert or so. And kinda rocky and flexible, not exactly ideal features on a ramp. But it made for some epic moments of skateboarding in a legendary session. Danny Way was on hand, spending some time working out the math on the tiny ramp and came up ...with a couple of bangers. The session was super heavy, with dudes dropping from the roof and doing all sorts of bananas stuff. Stand by for a T-Mag edit of the whole crazy session that happened one time and presumably never again, as the ramp was a temporary deal. Nav’s was able to secure a few hours of patience and understanding from the neighbors, who live very close by. The cops also rolled by, looking a bit concerned of the overall madness taking place. And we had a little bit of a team re-union of sorts with Danny, T-Mag, Art, Cookiehead and Marcelle Johnson. Of this notorious crew, only Danny braved the ramp. T-Mag thought about it but was too into just filming the Big and Very Wild Wednesday. #hstreetskateboards

There are some skate sessions that just kind of magically come together and you end up with an exceptional crew and talent. Bucky Lasek showed up and did switch frontside inverts in Bob’s Concrete Dragon blasting airs that were just insane. Be sure to check that out here and on Bucky’s page, it’s a beauty! Sky Brown came and skated Bob’s for the first time and showed everyone why she is one of the best young girl skater in the world. Her younger brother Ocean had a blast drop...ping in from T-Mag’s roll-in drop-in platform contraption. Matt Wilcox came down and blasted some seriously gigantic airs and the rising grom skater Tommy was blasting airs left and right. Liam Pace worked out a super cool and stylish pipe photo in Bob’s metal pipe that is next to the Dragon. Chris Dangaard was on hand, shooting some very cool photos against the dramatic Southern California sky of all the action, using the photo platform T-Mag made for him, inside the channel, in order to create a unique perspective. That is where this frontside ollie was shot from. Also check out his super cool CCD Skull logo T-Shirt. Click the link on the last photo to order. It’s also worth mentioning that Bob Burnquist had an exceptional vision, turning an older wooden vert ramp into the Concrete Dragon, a feat that is nothing short of amazing. The concrete is smooth, fast, devoid of any kinks whatsoever and is one of the most unique skateboarding facilities in the world. And of course, T-Mag was super stoked to get a Beantooth Frances Sabertooth Hoodie in Swedish Colors for Christmas! #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

Ale Mazzara has grown up with H-Street and our original and legendary artist, Francesco Jekill Albertini, who first introduced us to Ale when he was a young boy, years ago. Francesco drew him the Kid Kong graphic. Now that the kitten has grown up to be a lion, he is a world class skateboarder, rides for Red Bull and Team Italy and if the Olympics ever do happen, you’re likely to see him rip around there too. Francesco has once again put his pen to paper and designed Ale’s n...ew graphic, The Lion King. Francesco has an incredible talent and ability for capturing the essence of the moment with his bold and simple lines. He even came up with a new version of the H-Street Mark logo, which he originally designed so many years ago. So we could not be more stoked than to introduce the all new Ale Mazzara Pro Model, available in an 8, 8.25 and 8.5, available right now at the H-Street online shop. Click the link in the photo and use Promo Code ALE20 to get an introductory 20% discount on this board that’s good until the end of the year! You can also pre-order the Park&Street version which is manufactured in California by Legend Skateboards on a slight modern-retro shape. Legend Skates has also created the innovative and totally unique design called Pop Wedge, which has an extra layer of dyed hardrock Maple laminated into the tail and nose, using a special vacuum technology molding process that creates a better, longer lasting pop. But wait, there’s more! Ale is also friends with Piero Capannini, one of the best skate photographers in the world. And they got a brand new skatepark in Ostia, the seaside of Rome, which isn’t exactly open yet. But it’s right next to this church with a giant cross in front of it. So Piero and Ale conspired to shoot the ultimate Christ air on Christmas! It’s no overstatement that our Italian roots run deep here on H-Street. Look for way more great skateboarding from this young ripper! #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

This is Streetplant’s SIX, a video showcasing their six year history as a skate brand. Of course, Mike Valley has been around for a lot longer than that, with legendary roots back to the 80’s. We were so impressed with the video production and over all vibe that we just had to share this, if only because we have a tiny connection with Streetplant through Mike and Matt Hensley’s cool board project M&M Skates, which we are featuring on the H-Street site. Here’s some thoughts th...at T-Mag had after watching this video; I’ve only known Mike tangentially through seeing him at contest, demos and maybe a tradeshow or two and have always been super impressed with his ability to create his own style of skateboarding. Of course, everyone knows and remembers that he was the Streetplant King and that is no overstatement. I saw some cool streetplant’s in the 80’s but none like Mike V. Since then, he’s been the kinda skater and person that cuts his own path, for better or worse. All the better, as far as I can tell. Which I think is the essence of skateboarding, to make it your own and not follow trends. Everything about his brand Streetplant and most certainly the video SIX is all about that and is amazing to watch. It really showcases skateboarding in its true form. The video features historical footage, new footage, old school, new school, fun school and just about every school. Just like skateboarding should be, IMHO. The video was mostly shot and edited by Mark Nesbit and is such a worthwhile 15 minutes of your time, especially since the world is in such a crazy place. It made me feel like skateboarding will rise above all and it’s onto better times. Thank you Mike V for all you contribute to skateboarding Be sure to check out Streetplant at their site and also, we just got re-supplied with a few more M&M Skates decks and tee’s.

Cookiehead wasted no time while in San Diego and joined up with T-Mag and Bucky Lasek to go shred Bob’s Concrete Dragon here in Vista California. Most skaters that ride Bob’s for the time tend to approach the Dragon with a fair amount of caution, which Cookie promptly tossed into the wind, as T-Mag, Bucky and Dan Brown all had their camera’s out to document the oncoming freight train. Riding Danny Way’s Heavy Metal Train deck, Cookie did the graphic due justice, with a crazy... Madonna and Sal flip over the 6 ft Channel and also having to deal with T-Mag sitting right under him. It was an incredible highlight of the session, other than Bucky throwing down some heat, along with Kiko and Julian Torres that were both there. Cookie’s new deck is available to pre-order at the H-Street shop, along with the T-Shirt. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

Darin Cookiehead Jenkins is a life long part of the H-Street family, dating back to the 80’s. Cookiehead skated all the original spots with the H Vert dudes, like T-Mag, Danny Way, John Sonner and all the vert dudes of that day. Cookiehead’s been ripping ever since and he and T-Mag got talking a few years ago about how he never had a Pro Model back then. T-Mag thought it an error that needed a prompt correction and the two came up with a fun concept to pay homage to a ...classic deck design, all in Cookiehead fashion. That was then, this now and Cookie is back with another fun tribute deck to a classic design that is drawn by renowned skate artist Tim Baron we call the Sword and Cookie Skull. It’s available two different designs/constructions; Basic Street shapes in 8, 8.25, 8.5 and 8.75. The Epoxy Everslick is a Modern-Retro Park&Pool shape, with Pop Wedge by Legend Skates, made right here in California. Pop Wedge is an innovative and totally unique design, which has an extra layer of dyed hardrock Maple laminated into the tail and nose, using a special vacuum technology molding process that creates a better, longer lasting pop. The bottom is a unique Epoxy laminated Everslick material that is digitally printed into the plastic that improves all Board and Lipslides. The graphic stays on and last longer than traditional printing methods. The additional Epoxy lamination also creates a stiffer and more durable deck. Cookie and his partner Captain stopped by T-Mag’s to check out the first sample and got a Lifer Logo tee. Captain got some dog treats, along with a dog party with T-Mag’s two Staffies, Quin and Irish. We’re also making this totally cool graphic in tee’s that are available right now. The decks are available to pre-order at the all new H-Street online skate shop by clicking the links in the photo. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

SOUND ON FOR FULL EFFECT! All of us here at H-Street would like to thank our friends and supporters, who are the best! We really love and appreciate you all! There are so many people that makes this work, not just the skaters and the Swedish Meatball but our staff that pack our orders, our artists that draw the graphics and come up with all the creative ideas, like Francesco Jekill Albertini, Fian Arroyo, Miguel Villaverde, Bob Hickman, Tim Baron, Scott Obradovich, The Godoy’...s, Art Howe and Jesse Gonzales and so many others. Like Corey at Legend Skates, who came through big time for us this year and we look forward to more great stuff from his shop. Also, Ernie at Capital L that finally made T-Mag a new board and put Carbonite decks into production. The two photographers that have contributed to H-Street beyond expectations are Chris Dangaard and Piero Capannini. They’ve shot some of the greatest photos of our dudes we’ve seen and deserve serious credit and recognition. We also get some really great calls, emails, DM’s and submissions from skaters and collectors that are super helpful, in order for us to continue to promote the legacy and history of H-Street, while creating something new and cool for more current riders. For all that support, we are so thankful. Obviously, it’s been a super tough and weird year, where skateboarding has gotten more popular (that part is good) and manufacturing just about everything has gotten to be way harder, so we appreciate everyone hanging in there with us, as we navigate the pandemic pandemonium that takes place on the daily. We have all sorts of fun plans for great stuff getting made and done in 2021 and none of it is possible without your continued support, so we hope and pray you’ll continue to hang out with us here on H-Street. #hstreetskateboards

Isiah Hilt is a Southern California renaissance man, if there ever was one. He’s straight outta Compton and localizes in Venice Beach, where he not only owns the legendary skatepark on the beach but also does boardwalk performance shows with his crew, the Calypso Tumblers. Skating in Venice is like a public performance everyday and no one thrives on this more so than Isiah. He’s taken the concrete at this park and found his own way to skate it. No one has a more unique and in...dividual style and way to skate the Venice Park. It’s simply something to marvel at, should you ever be so fortunate to find yourself in Venice and see it for yourself. Chris Dangaard shot this high speed and powerful tre flip at the Venice Park. Isiah left home at 14 and without skateboarding and his incredibly positive attitude, his life could have turned out very different. In his case, he’s got way too much creative energy that was only going to show up to the good. Not only for him but for all around him. When you see him go, he’s truly the master of ceremonies, whether it’s skateboarding, tumbling and flipping on sidewalk or just holding court. Infectious personality doesn’t even begin to describe it. And he loves the kids at Venice! A few months back, him and T-Mag got together to work out a Pro Model design for Isiah. After hearing his creative input on what kind of art could possibly represent this blue haired young ripper, it was clear that H-Street super artist Fian Arroyo had to be called in for the job. Between the three of them, this is the final design they came up with after days and hours of brainstorming, drawing and revising. This project is also done in collaboration with his other two major sponsors, Black Pyramid Clothing and Raycon Premium Audio. The deck is available in 4 Pop Shape sizes, 7.9, 8.1, 8.25 and 8.5. We are also offering the Epoxy slick version, with Legend Skates Pop Wedge innovation. We’re also making Isiah’s deck in a Modern-Retro shape that is 32.5 X 8.5, with a 15 Wheelbase. You can pre-order all his decks right now at H-Street.com and look for shirt and decals becoming available too. #hstreetskateboards

So we are still totally perplexed and confused at IG shutting down Tony Mag’s account and have no news on that front. But here’s a photo that Mag and Chris got together and shot at Bob’s Dreamland over the weekend and here’s a few brief words from Mag about the session; while I can’t believe that I got totally erased from IG, for no good reason, it’s been both liberating and torturous. One hand, it’s been a throwback to the old days, where we just hung out with friends, skat...ed and that was it. On the other hand, I’ve so enjoyed connecting with people from around the world and been able to showcase my skateboarding in ways that was never before possible. This has been particularly enjoyable after I randomly met up with this dude Chris Dangaard and who runs this digital outfit called ChrisClicksDigital and who has this super cool skull logo for his photography activities. Chris has probably shot some of the best skate photos of me that I have ever been had, mostly because he’s a super cool dude to hang out with and is one of the best photog’s I’ve ever ran into. The other day, we got together with Amelia Brodka, Beaver Fleming, Josh Dirksen and Mike McGill. Liam Pace was also on hand, even though he’s recovering. He’s a total riot to hang out with. Chris was there and shot this photo of a back ollie over the Concrete Dragon’s 6 foot channel. This line is fairly gnarly as I’m coming from the shallow end, from a long, sweeping front carve on what feels like a giant concrete wave. Reaching the channel is a bit of stretch, so you come at with a ferocious amount of speed and angle, far more than is needed to clear the channel. It’s float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, as a famous boxer once said. If I can’t get my account back, I’ll just have to start a new one and I hope you come hang out with me again. Will hope against all hope that IG does the right thing and let ya’ll know what happens. In the meantime, thank you Chris for shooting and a million thanks to Bob Burnquist for building this amazing compound and letting us ride it. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

Tony Mag’s personal IG account got disabled for some strange and unknown reason. It was while he was rushing to the hospital although we are not sure this is a related event. Given that the total En Fuego him and Chris Dangaard have been putting together, perhaps this was seen as threatening to someone at the tech giant. Who knows what goes on inside the digital algorithms in Silicon Valley but we were able to file a request for a quick restoration of T-Mag’s account. Apparen...tly, 2020 continues to find ways to totally suck beyond belief! Anywho, here’s what Mag had written for the photo that he was gonna run on his IG; I haven’t done a regular invert for quite some time and when Chris asked me what we hadn’t shot yet at Bob’s incredible concrete monster Dreamland, I thought of the plain ‘ol invert. It’s kinda weird to think that flipping yourself upside down, planting your hand precisely on the coping in a one-arm handstance of sorts for a split second, all while twisting your board up a bit, is not that hard to do. But I hadn’t done one in a while, so all these aspects and movements that had to come together in a precise moment in time for me to make it and for Chris to shoot the perfect photo, preferable first try, all of the sudden seemed like a tall order. Thanks to a fair amount of muscle memory, it turned out to not be that tough after all, thank the Lord above! And Chris sure shot a sweet photo of the whole operation, thank you. All while wearing my buddy Fian Arroyo’s awesome T-Shirt. That I had to get from my other buddy Art, haha. If you’ve read this far, we’ll let you know that it turned out to be nothing serious at the hospital, other than the IG situation, which these days, could be considered akin to a couple of heart attacks and stroke! Stand by for more on T-Mag and his adventures with his banned IG account. What was the last thing he had on there?? Crazy Swedish meatball. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful

T-Mag and Chris Dangaard got together at Mancha’s for some fun with lights. Check out the really cool and exclusive CCD Logo shirts we got available at the all new H-Street online shop. #Repost @tonylmagnusson So yesterday, I’m just sitting around on the couch, enjoying a quiet afternoon when Chris Dangaard calls me up and says he’s got this new bitchen light set up and gonna be Mancha’s super cool backyard ramp for some evening shots. This was just too enticing, especial...ly since Chris is a super fun guy and is always pushing the barriers on skate photography in general but especially with lights and flashes. With some Military Energy Gum consumed, I was on my way. When I got here, Mancha was working on getting lights hung on the ramp, so this ended up being a full on night sesh with Mancha, Ruby Lilley, Sky Brown, her little brother Ocean, Tommy Calvert and Bryson Farrill. Totally fun, high energy and heated sesh into the night, with CCD shooting away. All in Mancha’s backyard, classic vert DYI style. This Frontal Aerial was my opening salvo and probably the best I got, although Chris was not happy with the light composition or some such artsy non-sense talk. I was hyped, since I managed to actually get myself into the air and I figured a yellow shirt with a dark blue sky would also look a bit Team Sweden. Of course, the shirt’s from Brazil during my last visit there, we’re skating in California and Mancha is from Brazil too. But somehow, the spirit of Per Viking was there, as his name was mentioned and I realized I’m still chasing after him and his crazy Frontside Ollie. But different story and photo altogether. Chris’ work with lights and lenses is always stunningly great and I thought this was one of his better ones. And thanx to Chris Miller for inventing the nose bone! Love these and pretty sure he did that.

We would like to wish Matt Hensley the most awesome 50th birthday. It’s been a wild ride that’s included lots of skateboarding and music all over the world but also a good amount pool playing, bar running, bowling, golfing, wood work and block printing. There’s been scooters, family, dogs and cats along the way. At 50, H-Street guest artist Bob Hickman managed to capture a rather happy and somewhat satisfied expression of Matt when he did his re-interpretation of Matt’s legen...dary Stained Glass design. This is the original art, which is rather large. Bob is known for drawing lots of puppets and has a company by that name and Bob and Matt are also good friends. If it wasn’t for the crazy times we all live in, we’d have a huge birthday party for Matt. In the meantime, we just wish him and the wife the best birthday possible. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful #happybirthday

After @nbd_archive posted T-Mag’s Frontside Kickflip on Andy’s ramp in the 80’s and listed it as the first kickflip on vert, Danny Way sent us this photo of his Gullwing ad around the same time. Him and Mag talked over the issue, with both being too humble to claim it either way. So there could be a controversary as to the first kickflip done on vert. In any case, the idea of doing a kick flip revolution vert skateboarding forever and the one thing we know for certain, it wa...s done by an H-Street rider. Also, there could be a third suspect in this plot. If Mag’s came first, then his idea of credit actually goes to his longtime bro and partner in H-Street, Mike Ternasky, who had all sorts of futuristic vision capabilities and saw what the kickflip did for street skating and figured the same would be true for vert and T-Mag was simply the closest test case for this idea. According to T-Mag. But did Danny do it first at McGill’s? Maybe, we just don’t know for certain. #hstreetskateboards #onlythefaithful
