Honey Run Honey Flavored Whiskey starts out as a straight bourbon with a 21% rye mash bill then all-natural, raw Northern California Wildflower Honey is blended to give it a hint of sweetness. This smooth, flavorful whiskey is sure to bring cheer to your holiday celebrations or gift giving and you will be helping to rebuild the Honey Run Covered Bridge. The Honey Run Covered Bridge Association (HRCBA) will be having our monthly meeting at the Bridge Park at 5pm on Thursday, October 29 in the picnic table area. ... We will be nominating interested parties to become HRCBA Board Officers and Members. Currently, we have vacancies for Board Secretary and a Board Director. Eligibility for being an HRCBA Board Officer or Director requires you have shown interest by volunteering time and effort to the goals of the HRCBA and/or attended meetings for a year. This requirement can be waived if a majority of current Board Members agree to do so to fill a vacancy. If you are interested in becoming a member of the HRCBA Board of Directors and/or would like to volunteer your time to help us achieve our goals, or you would simply like to see what being a member is all about, we welcome you to attend this meeting. Board terms are for one year and require regular attendance at our monthly meetings over that period of time. Come help us rebuild the Honey Run Covered Bridge and redesign the Bridge Park. Bring a chair so we can all follow social distancing guidelines. We are a 501 (c) 3 charity and we follow all guidelines set by the California Attorney General's Office. See more

Progress continues on Phase 1 of Honey Run Covered Bridge Rebuild. Here are current photos including yours truly at the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony last w...eek. In the foreground is the twisted remains of the gate on the far side of the Bridge. Other photos show construction of the pillars. Many thanks to Q&D Construction and Sacramento Drilling. Although community generosity has been abundant, we are still short of funds to cover Phase 1 costs. Donations are welcome at hrcoveredbridge.org or at P. O. Box 5201, Chico, CA. 95927. Since the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association is a 501c3 nonprofit, donations are tax deductible. See more

Building the pillars. Once the hole has been drilled, a sleeve is placed over the hole. The cage is placed into the sleeve. Slurry is pumped into the sleeve ...to keep the inside of the hole from collapsing. The concrete truck empties its load into the concrete pump which sends it down into the hole. Since the concrete is twice as dense as the slurry in the hole, it pushes the slurry up to the top of the hole. The hole is now filled with concrete and the slurry is pumped up to the black truck which takes the used slurry off-site. Thus, no waste goes into Butte Creek. Thanks to Matthews Concrete, Bob’ Concrete Pumping, Garret’s Q&D Crew, Sacramento Drilling, Danny Butler of Maxim Crane, our engineer extroadinaire Max Katt and project manager Chris Souder from Chico State Construction Management Program, and our slurry pumper and driver, Roger Faddis. The best explanation for this issue. Rebuilding the Bridge has never been about the HRCBA. It is about helping the citizens of Butte County. We are rebuilding and the county gets $3.44 million to boot for equipment and infrastructure. We call this a true win-win situation.
