Good Afternoon Hollywood Park Superstars! We hope that you are enjoying this fall weather and that you got to take in some well needed fresh air :) Tomorrow is the 37th day of school and the Word of the Week is COURTESY. We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week all week and that means Dress-up Days are here. Please see below...we look forward to seeing our kiddos on Zoom this week all dressed up--- Monday-Red Dress-up Day! Tuesday-Sport Dress-up Day! Wednesday-Pajama Day!... Thursday-College Spirit/Super Hero Dress-up Day! Friday- Orange and Black Day! ELAC will meet for the first time this Tuesday, October 27th at 3:30. Email Mr. Ferraz, Mrs. Uribes, or call the office for the Zoom link and password to log in. We hope to have some productive conversation on school budget, programs, and site updates. We are still in need of one more parent to serve on SSC. If you are interested, please phone the school. Looking ahead, Wednesday, November 11th is Veteran's Day. There is no school. Food distribution continues Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Good Afternoon Hollywood Park Superstars! Monday is the 32nd day of school and the Word of the Week is APPRECIATE! We continue Distance Learning and our Superstars are showing their grit and determination. Please be sure to have students log in every day and on time. Attendance does count! Teachers have given a variety of assessments and uploaded student results to our student information system. Check with your child's teacher if you are unclear of your child's progress. We are still looking for any parents who would like to serve on School Site Council this school year. It is an advisory committee that works with staff and administration on budgetary and programatic practices on site. Call the school if you are interested. Your children are doing remarkably well with their assignments, attendance, technology, and Zoom meetings! We are so very proud of their weekly perseverance. Progress reports were issued on Friday for any students needing extra support. Please check with your child's teacher if you have questions. We have families who signed up on Back to School Night. We would love to have more families involved! SSC sign ups also went out during BTSN.
