LAST SUPPORT GROUP OF THE YEAR! Join us as we hear vulnerable stories of power, pain, and moving on from our lupus diagnosis. Being vulnerable is relieving and it helps you let go of the pain that you’ve been suffering with all alone. It's realizing how much you’ve truly gained over the period of time rather than what you lost or what has caused you pain. It’s realizing that it’s completely okay to allow yourself to feel at your lowest point and not be embarrassed about it o...r hide your true feelings because there are others in your same shoes! Vulnerability is about being brave and powerful. don’t go through this alone; grow through it by allowing yourself to feel, cry, laugh, be, and talk.! Join us as we Talk about our most vulnerable moments and most importantly how we are healing and help heal others now. Hear from these 3 amazing ladies and their stories of vulnerability and healing.

I know life's been a lot lately and a lot of friends have been having a tough time. I wanted to take some time discuss some thoughts around these things as well as share some coping mechanisms of mine as well as some other lupus warriors. Join me this Saturday October 17th "Read this and thought of the Howse Foundation and how much it's helped Me and others in our journey not just with Lupus but in life. ... Personally I've found that I've allowed myself to be more open, honest, and vulnerable which are traits that can only help in healing, progress, and growth...Share Your Burden(s)"~@mzznixon Community is a blessing from God and a resource for our lives. God works through relationships. When we choose to hide our burdens, we carry the weight alone. However, when we uncover our burdens and reach for help, the weight is shared. Therapists, Doctors, Friends and Family are all God’s support system for you. They are there to share the load. Accept the help with open arms. This is how God heals and lightens our burden. We were not built to face life’s challenges alone. Choosing to share our burdens is not a sign of weakness. It is God’s will for us to share it with our community family, friends or co-workers. This is why the Apostle Paul told the church to share our burdens. Too often, in order to maintain a façade, we keep our issues and struggle(s) to ourselves and the process toward relief is more painful. Today, remind yourself: I was not meant to carry the weight of life alone. Sharing my burden does not make me weak. God will show up through my relationships. #balancingmindbodyandspirit #balance #mindbodyspirit #lupus #lupushealth #health #support #lupussupport #lupuswarrior

Please don't be afraid to share your story, there are so many people that will be encouraged to live another day just because of you. Your story will heal you and your story has the power to heal somebody else. When you tell your story, you break down barriers and give other people permission to acknowledge their own story. Would you like to share your story with the Lupus community? #balancingmindbodyandspirit #balance #mindbodyspirit #lupus #lupushealth #health #support #lupussupport #lupuswarrior #share #shareyourstory

Sun exposure can cause redness, hives, or other rashes or even burning sensations, itchiness, or even worse, a MAJOR FLARE We discussed sun safety with lupus during a live with Dr Blied over the weekend! See previous post for some of our fav products to have on hand to help treat or even prevent some these issues

Howse Foundation 12.08.2020

Dr Blied just invited us to her page to do a live on Sun Safety and Lupus. I know summer's almost over, buuuut a lot of these items can and should be used regularly anyway. Here are some of my fav summer products that I wanted to share... 1- 32 degrees Face Cover I don't know about you, but wearing a mask all day esp when it's hot, is annoyingThis one is a lot cooler and extremely breathable and only $12 for four at Costco... 2- thinksport SPF 50+ sunscreen You guys should know by now I prefer NONTOXIC ingredients esp when they are going on the bigger organ of our bodies (our skin)! thinksport is the "safer" product option and the standard for safe sunscreen 3- Aveeno Positively Radiant Sheer Daily SPF 30 moisturizer I love this for my face, again because it's less toxic and not too greasy for the face 4- Howsehold Scar Oil Anytime I've had too much exposure to the sun or feel any type of rash coming on I spray/roll this on and get almost immediate relief 5- doTERRA TerraShield If you're like me, mosquitos and other bugs LOVE to bite you! Whenever I remember I like to use this outdoor blend to protect me from bites 6- Aloe Vera Any kind will do, but I really like this particular one because it's NONTOXIC and contains 98% Pure and Organic ingredients 7- Howsehold Hand Sanitizer The one pictured here is an enormous one that I made to use in my @howsefitnessandnutrition gym, but in these days in times we need to be carrying one around at all times. I prefer this particular one because it's NONTOXIC and smells sooooo good AND most importantly provides protection against viruses and bacteria.
