Drene is having some difficulty understanding due to the use of face masks. She told me her MD wears two masks and a shield! The easiest solution is to get the voice from the speaker right into the hearing aids via a Bluetooth microphone. Is was successful in the office so she is off to try it in the real world. Her very supportive husband is wearing the mic in this photo.

Today was my 29th anniversary. I’ve been married to Robert Houston from Detroit Michigan for almost 30 years! He is still my true love.

Yesterday my two pups had their 10th birthday! They have brought much joy to our family.

Just finished this cute puzzle from my friend Carol. It is titled, That’s Life. Remember when we used to hang out in crowds? Now everyone will be wearing masks. My favorite is the cat chasing the mouse. Can you find it?

I had the honor of caring for Brigadier General Robert Cardenas this morning. He is 100 years old, but that is the least of his accomplishments. In WWII, he was a bomber pilot. Shot down in Germany, he swam across a lake to Switzerland to escape capture. Take a moment and call up his Wikipedia page. He is a true American hero. Thank you again, General for your service.

I am spending the evening with my son and his girlfriend baking and decorating. Merry Christmas!

Be carful not to abuse you ear with your mask. See the proper fitting here. Constant pulling down on your ear can cause discomfort and permanent deformity. Try a variety of masks to see which is best for you.

We are doing one on one attention, no one is waiting in the lobby. You will be taken right into an exam room Dr. Margie wears a mask and gloves and each room is thoroughly cleaned before the next patient is allowed in. I planted in my garden today. Baby plants are like new hearing aid users. It takes time for them to get comfortable with the new pot location and the new dirt etc. Likewise when you get a new hearing aid fitting it takes time to get used to the new sounds and feeling, especially your own voice. But rest assured when I program your devices they are appropriate for your loss and once acclimated your plastic brain will re-wire itself for better discrimination. It is a growing process and like my garden I will be tending to your needs along the way.

I found an easier way to use my face mask. Using hearing aid Oto clips I can hang my mask between uses. If your mask bothers you too, you can get Otoclips at my office.

Today is my daughter’s 18th birthday. Graduating from high school too.

Yesterday I dropped off some Easter crafts for my neighbor’s kids. They did a great job.

Lisa and her son Riley send their best to all of you. She is working from home and looks forward to when we will all be together again.
