Good Friday marks the day when Jesus shared his last few words before His death: It is finished. It is not only in the words, but in His unwavering commitment to breathe every breath that He had for the sake of those He loved to the uttermost. On Good Friday, Jesus was arrested, interrogated, judged, tortured and crucified. What would make a person endure this type of incredible suffering? The answer is simply, YOU. Jesus had each of your faces in mind as He died a lonely death on the cross. John 15:13 is crystal clear when it states, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends". Today, pause, find calm, quiet yourselves, and contemplate how valuable you are to God.
