Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Veteran volunteers are paired with a patient who is a veteran or has a military background. Similar backgrounds and shared experiences allow for deeper connections between the patient and volunteer. The Veteran to Veteran Program is a great way for our veteran volunteers to connect with their veteran patients. Last night, our Tracy Butterfly Auxiliary hosted their Annual virtual Zoom Holiday Party to gather, reflect, and highlight their accomplishments from this year. Butterfly Auxiliary members serve as ambassadors for Hospice of San Joaquin's programs and services. Their events raise funds in support of our Hospice House.
