Even in the midst of COVID-19 the City of Pomona, Volunteers of America, TRI-CITY, East Valley, Prototypes, Goodwill, Pomona PD continually are working together as a team to help our Homeless Participants Thrive. We want to Thank you for all the efforts made as a partnership. Success Story Lynwood Davis Mr. Davis has been homeless for over 2 years. His homelessness began after several years of caring for his elderly parents who became terminally ill and passed away.... Because he was unable to work while caring for them, his finances suffered and prevented him from affording the home which he ultimately lost to foreclosure. Afterwards, a college friend assisted him with getting connected to the Armory & Hope for Home Program. Lynwood has been a very faithful and consistent citizen at Hope for Home by following through on every housing goal and encouraging others who came into the program. Mr. Davis credits VOA with providing him all the necessary essentials, which gave him hope and support to life. Tri-City, East Valley and other supportive services came along to assist with clothing. Mr. Davis is thankful to God and credits VOA for the unprecedented assistance which gave him hope for home throughout this challenging process.
We would like to thank Owner of Vintage Renewals Maria Ongpauco @VRInstashop for the Beautiful Handmade material Masks she sent to Hope For Home.
Hope For Home Success Story Mr. Peterson became unemployed after a health condition made him unable to continue his work as a healthcare provider. He eventually lost his housing and began experiencing homelessness. Mr. Peterson heard about Hope for Home through friends he met while living on the street. He attributes finding Hope from Home as a gift from God. After 3 years of experiencing homelessness, Mr. Peterson will be housed through a continuum of care voucher.
