A few words on Amnesty International's new resolution that supports traffickers, pimps, and sex buyers. Laila Mickelwait from Exodus Cry writes: "Legalization and decriminalization of the sex industry increases the demand for prostituted women and thus increases the demand for victims of sex trafficking as well. The U.S. Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report, has stated: Sex trafficking would not exist without the demand for commercial sex flourishing around t...he world. Prostitution and related activitiesincluding pimping and patronizing or maintaining brothelsencourage the growth of modern-day slavery by providing a façade behind which traffickers for sexual exploitation operate. Where prostitution is tolerated, there is a greater demand for human trafficking victims and nearly always an increase in the number of women and children trafficked into commercial sex slavery. Another awesome night where we got to share a message of HOPE to the men and women on the streets. Loving on every person we were able to talk to.
