Golly gee, today's the day and we're here at USD competing! It's going swell, and it might be early in the day, but things are looking promising. We don't know if we'll win, but we'll certainly have fun. Hooryde!
Though we haven't been able to post media for our team, we assure you all of us here at Hoover Robotics have been working diligently! We're finishing up our robots for this year's Greater San Diego competition, and we greatly look forward to seeing the competition this Saturday at USD. We're bringing a ferocity this year that we think will do us well. 2 days until all our hard work culminates! See you all then!
Well, today we're continuing work on the game board and we're all very happy to be so productive this Saturday morning. We're one week out from the workshop and we're making good personal progress on our own. As always, we're an eager bunch and I don't think I can emphasize my confidence in our team this year! Hoo-ryde!
A neat profile picture until we have a new robo-cardinal for all of you.
An updated and lovely group photo of (mostly) everyone here at the Hoover High School Robotics Club!
Call me an optimist, but I think we might have a win this year for Botball! We have an eager team full of spirit who're ready to work hard and do some great robotics. Today at Hoover Robotics, we've just begun the real preparations for our game board. We're moving tables, cutting PVC, and setting up everything else. Hopefully we can get everything up and running so we can get started with testing this year's bots! We're proud of all of our members and we're absolutely appreciative of everyone that shows up to meetings and works diligently. Hoover Robotics will be a force to be reckoned with, just you all wait and see. Until next time, ta ta!
We would greatly appreciate sharing our page and inviting others to like it. We want to get Hoover Robotics out there and make sure everyone knows about us! Hooryde!
Well, today is looking to be a great day of work and productivity! As we're heading into the 2018 Botball season, we have a lot of new, young faces ready to work and prepared to win. In addition to getting to work, though, we're proud and appreciative to say we've just received 4 new, Bolt racing drones, and two, lovely 3-D printers from the generous San Diego Rotary Club. We expect to compete in drone races in the upcoming years and to utilize the printers in support of our robotics competition efforts. We send a big thank you to the Rotary Club and we'll be sending something else in another while to them. We're hoping for a great season over here, and it's starting to look like it!
A new year means new adventures, new people, and new joys. A new year also means Botball season is just around the corner! We're looking forward to keeping our heads above the water, working hard and steadily, and succeeding in something this year. If that success is a placing, then that'll be amazing. If that success is setting a student out on a journey into Robotics that will split into newfound joys and skills, even better. We here at Hoover Robotics wish you a happy new year!
Merry Christmas, and happy holidays, all! It's the most wonderful time of the year filled with spirit, festivities, and joy! We hope you enjoy your time, your day, and your night. Have a good one, and have a happy new year!
Happy happy happy Thanksgiving everyone! This year is almost coming to a close. 2017 has been a very full year, and a very fast one at that. We have many things to be thankful of and for, like our wondrous, dedicated club members who've stayed along these past 4 years and all the newcomers this year! We're absolutely grateful and appreciative of Mr. Wetzel, our advisor, as well. Without his help, we might not even be here today! What are you thankful for? We wish you a good Thanksgiving break, see you all later!
