2017 AXP Design Competition winner is HTA!'s Yunzhi Ou: HTA! designer Yunzhi Ou received 1st place for her design in the in the Non-Student category in the AXP Design Competition, A City Neighborhood Park. The scope of work included the design of a recreational park, facilities, and playground to be built in a Los Angeles neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley. Her design entry, titled The Ribbon, aims to equip the neighborhood with ample and welcoming community spaces that inter-connect athletic and leisure areas of the park. The running/biking track helps to define the various recreational areas of the park and integrates each area into an open communal space. With programs thoughtfully located and juxtaposed, The Ribbon "really captured the imagination of the competition jury, awarding Yunzhi with her 1st place honor.
