This type of support is why we continue to(and why we try to) persevere, despite everything. No aid for live venues or the arts just goes to show how littl...e the folks in city hall actually go out in their city. Hi everyone! We haven't been on here in a few months, but we're still alive somehow. Lots of ups and downs over the last few months, and still uncertainty in the world of honey hive gallery(and the rest of the world). A gas leak left us(the business and the residence) without heat/gas/hot water for almost a month. We've been hassled by our landlord to pay for those days, and generally have been in tense negotiations with them ever since. We still have a wonderful local benefi...t compilation up at thehoneyhivegallery dot bandcamp dot com(it's bandcamp day again, TODAY!). We are still accepting donations through our gofundme page in our bio. We are going to start a new GFM within the next 2 weeks before they shut ours down, on account of it being up for almost 6 months. The initial goal was set in April with the idea that the pandemic would last until after the summer, but we all know how much reopening expectations for music venues have changed since then. If you still want to donate to us outside of these platforms, you can always write a check made out to "Honey Hive Gallery" mailed to 4117 Judah street San Francisco, CA 94122. The support we've gotten over the last few months means the entire freakin world. Even amidst the fiery circus of injustice that engulfs this country, we just quietly celebrated our 7 year anniversary. As of around 10 this morning, we are up to $782 from the compilation album! And after some thought, decided 50 percent of these album sales would be donated to @antipoliceterrorproject . So grateful to the folks who organized this comp to support our little space! Longing for the days these musicians played real, live shows here... but hopefully that day will come again soon! We are close to reaching our goal on the go fund me page (in bio), and a few people have donated outs...ide of the gfm too! @emilylfromm donated another $175 from prints of the amazing #honeyhivegallery painting she made, another $215 directly from local supporters, and of course the remaining $391(before paypal and cc fees) from bandcamp yesterday. Hi folks! So, we are still fundraising in the middle of a pandemic. There is a wonderful group of local musicians who have taken it upon themselves to make a compilation album in support of our space! That all being said, 50 percent of these compilation sales will be distributed to a local bay area organization focused on black liberat...ion until we reach our fundraising goal.
