Meet Rajah. He’s one of our cherished and beloved employees @honeycomb_sf. He’s funny, kind, super intelligent and wildly talented. Sometimes he tells us about being afraid to talk to anyone in the Noe Valley Whole Foods across the street. White women who might be potential clients sometimes flinch when he approaches them instead of smiling. Raj has three fur babies, his favorite is named Chunk after the cute, chubby kid in The Goonies, which also happens to be his favorite m...ovie. Raj is a devoted husband. He follows the Crystal Bible and particularly favors labradorite. He loves his siblings and is a big ole’ mama’s boy. Raj is a fan of comic books and is working on a his own graphic novel. Raj is proud of his black culture and Jamaican roots, but sometimes he tells us he doesn’t want to be the last person out of the salon at night because someone might think he’s robbing it, instead of assuming that he has his own key. So if you see Raj in the Whole Foods will you smile warmly at him instead of shutting down? Or if you see him closing up our shop late at night, will you please never, ever, ever call the cops? We love him and can’t imagine a world without him. We are sad to announce that our reopen date has been postponed indefinitely. All July appointments at Honeycomb Salon are considered canceled. Thank you for your support, friendship and patience during this time. We have so much gratitude for all the positivity you keep sending our way!
