Here is something fresh for spring that just popped into my inbox. "The Home of Modern Vintage" from #CathKidston presented as a new collection from #stouttextiles

What a fun project this was! A young professional living in Mission Beach had a penchant for mid century modern design. The sliding glass door to the patio had very little room to stack drapes so we used a knife pleat for a sharp, modern look that doesn't require too much fabric. Brimar's drapery hardware with flat rods and rectangle rings add the finishing touch with brown wood contrasting nicely with satin nickel. #Brimar #midcentury #curtains

Pacific Gate is one of my new favorite places to work. The views from every window are gorgeous, the building itself is so beautiful and there are no straight walls anywhere. I'm enjoying the challenge of helping these residents create unique spaces like this master bedroom where copper custom bedding and pillows add the finishing touch.

This lovely La Jolla bedroom has a beautiful view with an awkward corner. Preserving the view and creating a dark room were critical to the home owner. I wish I had a before and after picture to show you, but the original drapes stacked all the way to the extreme left and right leaving a very awkward four inches of drywall at the corner and pointed out the short window butted to the sliding door drawing attention away from the view. The solution was to add a very narrow cu...rtain at the corner to just cover the corner but none of the glass. The left and right panels draw towards the center overlapping the narrow one to create a very dark room. We also added automated drapery hardware so the drapes can be operated with a remote control alleviating the need to get out of bed to enjoy that view. #motorization #motorizedwindowtreatments #curtains
