Our school is not just a community but also a family. It's #TeacherTuesday! Introducing Mr. Clark! Mr. Clark is thrilled to be teaching social studies for his third year at Holy Trinity. He is a self-described quintessential Nor-Cal kid who enjoys playing soccer, riding mountain bikes, and floating the river on hot summer days. Surprisingly, teaching at HTSM has been something of a homecoming for him because he attended Holy Trinity with his family in the 1990s before the hilltop campus was built! Mr. Clark majored in Interdi...sciplinary Studies at UC Berkeley, with an emphasis on history, social theory, and human-computer interaction. After working in the private sector for nearly half a decade editing useless reports and putting together proposals for this and that, he felt a calling to be more directly connected with humanity and decided to teach. Mr. Clark then attended the University of San Francisco Sacramento Campus satellite campus for his credential and master’s degree and applied to Holy Trinity. Guided by his ever-effervescent personality and affinity for the west coast ivy league, Mr. Clark reminds middle schoolers of virtue and the gifts of God as he helps them learn and have fun while doing it. After giving in to joining the family business of education, Mr. Clark admits that teaching is the best gig in town. For religion class, the second graders went outside to record signs of God’s creation around our beautiful campus. This was a part of our lessons on the Holy Trinity. As the 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs. Heuerman is well known for offering fun and rigorous classroom instruction as well as preparing the students for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Active in many school and parish ministries, Mrs. Heuerman is also the Vice Principal. Nineteen years ago, under clear blue skies, 102 minutes changed our lives forever. Today, on #PatriotDay we observe the 19th anniversary of the 2001 attacks. Our need for peace in our nation and in the world has never been greater as we mark this anniversary. On this day particularly, we ask everyone to pray for peace and forgiveness in our troubled world. We encourage all to pray the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, or another prayer for peace, and to continue to pray for pe...ace for the next 10 days until September 21, International Day of Peace. Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
