A fun little fact that a lot of people might not know about Hollywood RV Park is that all the art in the park is done by women. Steve, owner of Hollywood RV Park, has four daughters and decided early on that the walls in the rv park will be reserved for female artists. In honor of International Woman’s Month we will be showcasing some of inspiring artists and creatives that have left their mark on the park. These women are leaders in their industry and have paved a road for other women to follow. Travel Nurse Gets Hitched At Hollywood RV Park! Covid has created some unusual circumstances lately. Deanna, one of our travel nurses, decided she couldn’t wait any longer and went down to the Justice of Peace and got married!! Congratulations Deanna and Brian!!

Hollywood RV Park is a second home for over 40 Travel Nurses - skilled healthcare professionals who take assignments in hospitals with short-term staffing needs. When COVID-19 hit, many of them left behind their families, friends and homes and answered the call to fight this pandemic. Many of these nurses shared their stories with me. They were exhausted, overworked, and afraid, but they always went back to work. These nurses are our heroes, as they are risking their own live...s for the health of their patients and work grueling hours in dire conditions. Unfortunately, hospitals across the nation are now canceling thousands of travel nurses’ contracts without their full contractual pay, simply because of the lack of COVID-19 cases. Not only have they been discarded so callously after giving us their all, our nurses are finding themselves discriminated against, without work, and with no place to go. Is this how we treat our heroes? No, it’s not! If a travel nurse has a contract with a hospital, then the hospital should honor it. If the hospitals won’t honor our heroes, then we as a nation should. Our goal is simple - help those who have sacrificed and given so much to all our local and nation-wide communities. Good news from Hollywood RV Park: 2 of our cancer patients were just told they’re in complete remission! Here’s Carissa proclaiming the good news: I took my PET Scan this Mon. (Which was my BDay) and today the Dr called and said PETScan shows complete remission, no signs of active cancer, a couple of swollen lymph nodes that could be swollen from chemo or are still dying and he recommends one more round to clean it up. But if I want to stop now he would support my decision.... He said this is as good as it would get at the end of six rounds. I am so happy. I want to take this time to thank you for your prayers, and support. And I want to thank God the Father, for carrying me through and protecting me. And Jesus the Son, for being there taking my pain with me, and the Holy Ghost for reminding of His love and how loved I am from all of you. PRAISE AND GLORY TO GOD!!!

Passover is a celebration of spring, of birth and rebirth, of a journey from slavery to freedom, and of taking responsibility for yourself, the community, and the world. .... It’s the perfect festival for us to celebrate with what is going on in the world. Hollywood RV Park has built a Passover door so our Jewish community can still celebrate here at the park. Happy Passover from our family to yours.
