THREE weeks out from my total hip replacement surgery!! (The right side this time, two years ago was my LEFT side) ...Trying out my new hip. Don't tell my DOCTOR!! hehe BOSU balance and strength work... Cardio Strider for Endurance and heart health... Like I always tell my students, work hard on your health and fitness and everything else will fall into place. (Specially during times like these). ... On August 12, 2020 I was finally able to have my Right hip replacement surgery!! I am on the road to recovery as we speak. My new ride...For a day or two. After two cancellations due to the Pandemic, I am home with my New hip!!! (right side this time) I am now 6 foot five!!

I spent more than half my life teaching everyone (especially kids) not to give in to "Peer Pressure" and to think for themselves using their parents as a guide...It is sad for me to see so many people being persuaded and giving in to their Teams, friends, or family, even though in their hearts, they are not 100% sure. No matter what the issue is, get informed, learn, be open minded...Then decide FOR YOURSELF!! Don't get bullied!! It is OK to agree to disagree, and still be friends!!

Got kicked out of a public park today, me and ONE (8 year old) student, wearing masks, staying 10 feet apart, and no contact, just exercising...Something is very wrong!! I am Trying to support myself and my wife, trying to help keep my students active and healthy, trying to put food on the table...To clarify, 2 people, in a public park, exercising, away from each other, away from anyone else, for 30 minutes!! Was told to LEAVE!!! We left...

SO SORRY to all small business owners!! Looks like another round of closures...I did not make it through the first round, my thoughts and prayers are with you ALL. I can tell you FIRST HAND it is not a good feeling to lose your business!! Your dream!!...And have no say or control over it!! ALL businesses are ESSENTIAL to someone!! ... I was born in a Country that would shoot you on site for protesting about anything (not with rubber bullets). There was no freedom, no differing opinions, no individuality. Martial law was an everyday occurrence, soldiers in the streets because Police had been De-funded and removed, crime and violence was the norm...My family and I fled to America (We are naturalized American citizens). And now...The direction this country is headed is all too familiar, everyone better wake up and think for yourselves.

At the risk of repeating myself, I would like to express my gratitude for your Hollywood Karate GoFundMe donations and supportKelly and I know times are tough for everyone, we appreciate your concern. The proceeds from all these donations are allowing us to hang in there since we had to cancel all our ZOOM and Private classes for a while due to my upcoming surgery. Having said thatMy scheduled surgery was pushed back (once again) from the end of July to Aug...ust 12, 2020. As we all see in the news, new restrictions and closures are being implemented again in So Cal, and hopefully this date will hold. Thank you all for your continued support, it means so much to us!! I never thought I would see this image... I have been blessed, I have had many setbacks in what seems to be my multiple lifetimes and always landed on my feet. This one will take a while to process, but I will land on my feet once again. We thank you all for the heartfelt emails, Texts, phone calls, etc. We are grateful for your support and concern. Please understand our not responding at this time...We are a little overwhelmed. ... The studio's physical location may be gone, but school is still in session. We are continuing with Zoom classes from our living room. I have had two surgeries cancelled due to this Pandemic, once those issues are addressed, we hope to continue at a nearby park / rec center.
