#nailremoval #acrylicnailremoval #gelpolishremoval #nailsofinstagram 1 Supplies: acetone, cotton, foil, nail clippers, cuticle pusher (orange wood stick or something to gently scrape), file, buffer, nail strengthener, and polish (if desired). 2 Clip: for acrylic nails, cut the excess length off the free edge of the nail, cut angled toward the tip to avoid damaging your natural nail. ... 3 File: use a file to remove the top coat off gel polish (both acrylic and gel polish), you can file acrylic nails thinner for faster removal. 4 Soak: soak a cotton ball or cotton pad with 100% acetone, then use foil (cut to about 3 x 3) to wrap your finger like a burrito (gel soaks off in 10-15 minutes, acrylic may take 30+ minutes and multiple soaks). 5 Gel: remove the foil and gently scrape off gel with cuticle pusher. 5 Acrylic: scrape off as much acrylic as possible with cuticle pusher, if most of the acrylic comes off continue to step 6, if not re-wet the cotton with acetone and soak again. 6 Buff: use a buffer (you can gently use a file to finish removing acrylic) to remove the last bits of product and to smooth the surface of your nail, use a nail file to shape the free edge. Finish with lotion, nail strengthener, your favorite polish and top coat!
