I made tuna yesterday. It was late almost dinner time. So I put it in the refrigerator. Not realizing how amazing this Tuna is. I made sandwich and the Tuna smelled so good I had to taste it. Oh My Gosh! No cheese, mayo, or anything else needed. This is the best Tuna Sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Tuna, a combination of Tuna, celery, onions, hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise, miracle whip, relish, lemon juice, and a little salt and pepper. It’s always great when it all comes together in a great sandwich.

I got busy A couple days ago. And at the request of my daughter I made homemade chocolate chip cookies. I’m allergic The chocolate so I made Vanilla butterscotch cookies for me. The chocolate chip cookies are made with dark chocolate and semi sweet chocolate. Making chocolate chip cookies takes two days. One day to mix the dough, and one day for the cookie dough to sit in the refrigerator and cool. Refrigerating your cookie dough is really important. It allows for a crispy outside, and a delicate chewy inside.

A good home cooked meal can be as easy as homemade chili with all the Fixin’s. And don’t forget Pan Fried Cornbread. Amazing and delicious! PM me for the recipes.

Made an amazing Bread Pudding. Lots of extra custard. Wonderful flavors of Nutmeg and Cinnamon. Raisins added just the right touch.

I’m having a wonderful meal at IHOP. I am having something off of their secret menu. Just discovered they’re starting a special for a limited time called IHOPPY HOUR. Serve from 2 PM to midnight. There is a limited menu that is special and it has amazing prices like they’re number one Classic Steak Burger for only $5.50 and it includes an order of fries, onion rings, or pancakes. So head down to your local IHOP and check out their new menus.

Having a great meal at old California Mining Company. Today is Wednesday and at Old California Mining company they have a tri-tip special every Wednesday, all day. It’s only $12. And for your little $12 you get a generous portion of perfectly cooked tri-tip, one side dish, and a trip to One of North County’s best salad bars. Today I’m getting the baked potato with my tri-tip. The meal was delicious and the service is always wonderful. But thanks to the outstanding s...taff who toss my salad for me and prepare my meal. Great job today. The food as always was spectacular. Hello all. Just baked for the first time in 3+ years. Made my favorite Blueberry Scones. Gosh I miss baking. The scones came out great. So much better than the store bought scones. Flaky, crumbly and a hint of sweetness and blueberry goodness. Just delightful. And of course I have a photo for you. Wish you could have one.

If you’re looking for tri-tip this is the restaurant to get it at. Amazing smoke and excellent male field. The tri-tip can’t be beat. And don’t forget they have burgers and fries for six bucks on Mondays and Tuesdays. And there Wednesday tri-tip special is the best in town. Oh, and did I mention one of the best salad bars in town.

My family and I are at Tappi Sushi & Grill having a great lunch. Located in a little shopping center with a Smart & Final. My daughter ordered Beef Udon. She can’t stop eating it. The Udon has just enough spice to clear her sinuses. Lol. I’m sharing a big plate of Yakisoba with Chicken with my husband. It’s delicious. So good, in fact that I had to make today’s post. Having a delightful dinner with my wonderful husband Doug Hobson, and family friend, Linda Dorfmont. We're at Black Angus in Escondido, Ca. Some years ago I was disappointed to find out that the Black Angus in Oceanside, CA. had closed it's doors. That restaurant had been a standard of excellence in the Oceanside community for many years. I was surprised to discover that, about a year ago, they opened a restaurant in the Westfield Mall parking lot in Escondido, CA. I cal...led to see if reservations were possible. To my surprise I was able to get a reservation. Really awesome since I was planning to arrive there in 30 minutes. The reservation was for 15 minutes after we arrived. And we were seated on time. We put in our order with Gabby (our wait staff) and waited. Bread was brought within 3 minutes. They were even able to accommodate my preference for real butter and Linda's preferred choice of margarine. The appetizer arrived a few minutes later. We got the Wagon Wheel Sampler. It was perfectly prepared. Even the "potato skins" were cooked correctly. The "Sampler" was tasty. Salads were delivered in a timely manner and were good. I thought I was going to need more dressing. But the measured amount they put on was perfect. The entrees arrived and the 2 Sirloin Steaks (for Doug and Linda) were cooked to perfection. Both were well done, but not over cooked. The Manager assisted with delivery of the entrees. He suggested that we "Check our steaks for proper doneness." The two sirloins were perfect. The Ribeye (my steak) was overcooked. I was going to just eat it anyway. No big deal. But the awesome manager, Daniel Lobianco, insisted on cooking a new steak. Excellent call. The new steak he brought out was not just good. It was amazing!! Perfectly cooked with a lovely pepper seasoning. Good job Daniel Lobianco!! Overall, this restaurant was a big hit. The address is 296 East Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA. 92025. You can call in reservations at 760-489-8420. And, I will be visiting this restaurant a few more times in the near future. I joined their Prime Club too.

I'm having a magnificent lunch at the Majestic Hotel with my wonderful Daughter Jennifer, her husband Christopher, my husband, Doug. Located in the heart of the Yosemite National Park. You might not recognize this hotel. The original name was The Ahwahnee Hotel. We're enjoying the Sunday Brunch. Wow!! What an impressive spread. Hand carved Prime Rib, and Ham. A variety of fresh Oysters and Mussels. An authentic Antipasto tray with marinated vegetables and a splendid variety... of cheeses. There was the classic array of Eggs Benedict, bacon, sausages and even an Omelette station. There was a pasta choice, seafood choice, and so much more. Many classic choices as well as some unique new options. And then there's the finishing touch. Dessert. As you can see there is an amazing array of hand crafted pastries and other desserts. If you like desserts that are chocolate free. This'll be the place for you while you're visiting Yosemite. Do be aware that the Majestic is the premier hotel in Yosemite. And this restaurant is no exception. You can expect to pay $49.00 per person. Tax and tip for today's meal was around $250.00. This restaurant isn't for the faint of heart. But, if you love great food and amazing desserts. This is a spectacular option for your visit to Yosemite National Park.

I'm at Souplantation with my husband for a delicious lunch. For the past month I've been trying to get to Souplantation late enough in the day to get their wonderful Steak Salad. With no success! My timing's been off, or I'd get there too late in the day. I made it to Souplantation four different times. But with no success. Well, today was much the same. I got there and was told that I was once again "to early ". I really like Souplantation, so decided to get my usual Ca...esar Salad and some soup. When I got to the register to pay the Manager, Daniel Thompson, was there at the register. I told him about my frustration at trying to have this delicious salad. After I had paid for our meals Manager Daniel looked at me and said "Tell you what. You've tried so many times to get this salad. I'm going to make one for you." How great was that? Well, Manager Daniel Thompson just got himself and Souplantation a long term customer. I often go to the Souplantation in Vista, CA. But after today's "Above and Beyond" service. I think I'm going to be seeing a lot more of the Escondido, CA Souplantation. Thank you Manager Daniel Thompson for your dedication to excellence. You made my day today.
