A large majority were over 100 pounds. What worked- ... 1. Bringing the right tackle - we cannot stress this enough. You will need heavy tackle, 60# test was the minimum. 2. Bloody decks and a bruiser of a bluefin on the Ocean Odyssey. Isaiah Gutierrez landed this 176 pound bluefin on his 1.5 day trip that returned this morning. Elijah, the anglers son decided to get his own photo op with the BFT. This Angler was also nice enough to send us a full breakdown of what tackle he used. ... A 280g flat fall, 200lb fluoro with 150lb braid. I used a Okuma Makaira 20 reel paired with a Okuma 150-200lb rod. It was a 12 min fight, 80% of the bites were on flat falls. @kclo4 Ocean Odyssey
