We are very pleased to share our first HJUHSD Community Ambassador Town Hall. Our Ambassador Program has been under development for the past year and continues to grow and evolve. Our Ambassadors have been tasked with bringing school information and program knowledge to our stakeholders and community members from our traditionally underserved areas and populations. With their assistance and input into our programs, we believe we can better serve all of our students and focus on equity and access within our programs and services. This first Town Hall will focus on Career Technical Education (Formerly Vocational Education) and explore real and perceived barriers to student participation in these school programs. Wednesday night will be in English and a second event in Spanish will be held Thursday night. Both are virtual this time.

We are so happy and thankful to partner with Adventist Health to help vaccinate over 1000 people today, including our staff. Our staff was excited for the opportunity and happy to assist with logistics for vaccinating hundreds of community members who registered for the vaccine event. One of the best things was seeing our Hanford West Medical Academy students alongside nurses, medical students, and doctors taking temps and assisting with the process. This was such a great experience and opportunity for them. Thank you Adventist Health and thank you HJUHSD Staff! Your dedication to students and seeing them in person has not gone unnoticed and we are now on a clearer path to normalcy for our students and staff! #thisisourshot

Although we have begun a new year and new semester at HJUHSD, COVID-19 continues to have a major impact on academics, extra-curricular activities, and athletics.
