Mexican pro golfer Carlos Ortiz might be the best player on the PGA tour right now, yet very few folks have ever heard of him. Hopefully my short piece on GOLFVIDEOSONLINE.NET will help Carlos achieve the recognition he deserves.

Tom Flores, the first Latino quarterback in NFL history and also the only Hispanic head coach to ever win a Super Bowl, will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame this summer. It was a long time coming for the former Oakland Raider icon, now 83, and an honor well deserved. Please check out my website, hispanichorizons.com, and read all about this football trailblazer.

Joe Biden is doing the right thing in opening up an overflow facility in Texas for migrant children who cross the border illegally and are not accompanied by a parent. Teens 13 and up will be quarantined for two weeks as a COVID precaution, and then can be matched with relatives or sponsors living here in the States. But these youngsters must also be vetted, accurate records must be kept and border security must be beefed up so kids don't keep slipping through the cracks. The... new administration needs to understand that the word is out. Illegal minors are aware that a more lenient policy is now in effect and once the border is crossed, they are free and golden. That can't continue to happen because resources here are stretched to the max. We have laws in this country, just like in every country, and at some point we must stop the bleeding. See more

The non-profit humanitarian group "Border Angels" want to help Hispanic communities be informed about changes in the DACA program, and recently held a Q & A session on the controversial immigration topic. Basically, the Biden administration has reinstated DACA under "executive order," much like former president Obama initiated legislation years ago. But while the program appears safe for now, DACA will eventually be tied into a larger immigration reform bill that will need to... be approved by Congress if it is to become a law. That's why "Dreamers" who were unable to register before are encouraged to do so immediately for protection purposes under Biden's new order. If you're still confused or have questions, you can contact the Border Angel's hotline at 619 487-0249 for further information. You can also email them at this address: [email protected]. They can also help set you up with a free legal consultation. While the group is based in San Diego, anyone can reach out to them throughout SoCal or anywhere in the southwest and they will refer you to an agency in your area. Some of the Border Angel's critical work includes assisting abandoned and abused youth in Riverside county, and their constant presence to assist the poor in the communities of San Diego and Tijuana. It is a tremendous resource of information available to everyone who needs it.
