Highland Hospital was named East Bay’s First Adult Level 1 Trauma Center this week by the American College of Surgeons. This is a big honor, congratulations! One of our employees experienced the high level of care offered at this hospital. At age 20, she fell on a glass bottle severely injuring her left hand; severing the artery, tendons and causing major nerve damage. Today, she has the full use of her left hand due to the top surgeon who was on duty that day. Our community is lucky to have (and to work with) such an outstanding resource. Cheers to you!
