What is Railfest? It is when our train communities come together and have fun firing up trains. Some are local and some are from other areas up and down California. Sometimes there are some steam trains that come from out of state. We are a pleasant bunch of engineers that, just like hot rods, like showing off our beautiful trains from a time gone past. It's not just about our steam trains either, we also like showing steam engines that were used to haul, manufacture items. E...ver wondered at how the world kept up demands of the consumers before electricity? Yup, the power of steam powered engines was the way to go. The steam engine ushered us into the industrial age on Feb 21, 1804. Our Railfest Weekend this weekend will close out our Blossom Trail season. Come on out a see what history was. Train tickets will be $5. Hours are 10am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday. No worries on reservations, parking is free, plenty of areas for a picnic. Many places to run free, play areas like our treehouse and our hidden play houses are a great opportunity for little feet can explore. We have food vendors as well. Make a day trip close to Fresno and Tulare area and take home some family memories.

Hey Hillcrest Fans, We want to thank those of you who came to visit this last weekend , and especially those who were willing to wear masks and social distance. Loved seeing those spaced out lines between families! Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words to our staff... it is why we attempt to carry on! Going forward, if you are coming to Hillcrest , and would like to help us stay open, remember to keep masks on unless you are eating or taking photos. Also, please keep the masks on , even while on the train, just in case you are less than 6' from the next family. Thanks again for all your help...
