THIRTY-FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY ... Jaguar won Bathurst!!!!

Recently we had a complaint from a customer that stated that he has been buying fasteners from us for many years. Among his projects was a Ford "Woody". So far so good. In a recent visit he said that when he asked for a bolt kit for a specific application and he was told that we do not have application specific kits. And we sell hardware by the bag only. He also claimed that we wanted 40 dollars for a bag of 3/8 bolts. He also said he expected more from a Mom and Pop shop.... Here are my responses; We do not sell now or ever have sold application specific kits. There are many folks that do that but we are not one of them. The reason is making application specific kits for manufacturers is a large portion of our business. We do not compete with our customers. He claimed we wanted $40.00 for a bag of bolts. We sell hardware by the bag and the average price is in the 4 to 5 dollar range. As for being a "Mom Pop" well a Mom and Pop and Son still own and run the place but Hillco's customer base goes to 16 countries and to all 50 states.
