Rhyn wasn’t the only superlast weekend (I know I’m behind on posting) Emma and Cassie stepped up the the plate and hit a couple home runs! Lane Clarke loved Cassie... but who doesn’t . But he was also very proud of Emma’s ability to effectively learn how to be As soft as possible, as firm as necessary! Learning how to let nothing change and staying out of a horses way versus DOING nothing is such a hard concept to learn and Emma took right to it. Proud mom momentproud trainer moment all in one. To say I’m proud of baby Rhyn would be an understatement. I was BEAMING on our walk back to the barn after our lesson with Lane Clarke This girl has handled this weekend like she’s been doing it all her life. Lane helped us with a small tweak for our flatwork that made all the difference! He was impressed with the buttons she has just helped me re-approach a hole I have been having issues with. Then with that tweak and Rhy...n’s game face on, we decided today was the day to jump up and we ended up jumping the biggest she’s ever jumped AND doing it nicely and with ease! This weekend wasn’t a walk in the park but DAMN was it worth it! We battled the storms and freezing weather that we weren’t exactly prepared for oops. But we prevailed! Both Emma on Cabaret and Brenda on The Duke threw down some of the best rounds I’ve seen them make despite the rain! With a couple wins in the .70s and .75s Brenda had an amazing show. Emma even had a clean sweep of her classes on Sunday including the .80 Bonnet class AND the 1m Dash for Cash! To say this weekend was full of ups and downs, well that would be an understatement.
