High Sierra Motorcycle Club

On June 28th, 2018 at 0900 hours in the large conference room at the Truckee Ranger District Office, a public outreach/meeting regarding the current and future plans of OHV use/trails on this district will be held. Our East Zone Public Service Staff Officer, Mr. John Groom will be addressing the OHV locations; the Prosser OHV areas, the Verdi Peak Trail Planning; an extensive new system of motorized single track trail along the west side Boca/Verdi Range and the 06 road which... includes the Bald Mtn. dirt bike trail along with user created trails. Mr. Groom will structure the meeting with specific times delegated to each area one at a time, in order to address users that may have specific questions/comments/concerns to each area. He will provide time at the end of each section for productive conversations. The end result of the meeting will be to include the public in the scoping process and also to get the community involved to work as a team with the Truckee OHV crew and Mr. Groom moving forward both for potential volunteer activities and the formation of alliances between the USFS and the local OHV community. This winter is big with mud slides, from flooding, to trees down so we need to plan on everyone needing to pack chainsaw, handsaw, picks, and stove as trails are going need a lot of work :)

Hi all Seth here Jim Riley has reserved rooms for the HSMC at Middlegate Station for the weekend of 4/5/14 - 4/6/14. If you want one call 775 423 7134 and tell them that you are with hsmc and then put the room under your name. Also you will need a big tank for this ride. We average 80 to 100 miles out there. We have 6 rooms reserved so reserve your spot and plan to watch the supercross race that weekend out in middlegate with us. Packer Saddle Ride for Oct. 4-6. Eli will cook for Saturday breakfast and dinner, Sunday breakfast. Each meal is $20 per person making it $60 for the weekend. Just wanted to let everyone know this Sunday is the last FS work day on the butcher ranch extension , it would be good to have a strong showing of motorcyclists as this may be the group who finishes the trail. The group well meet downtown Downievill at 9am and then ride up. I would recommend going straight to the job for those coming from Truckee. Ride or Die... Adam 530 563 6703.

Hi Everyone: This weekend 4/27 is the Club ride and camp out. I will not be there since Jesse is recovering from a surgery. I would like the May club meeting to be done and recorded at this event. It seems best to do meetings at club rides more than Zanos. We are collecting any donations from members and riders in lue of putting on any kind of major fundraisers.
