We’ve gotten a lot of feedback about our hoursPlease read up on some information so you understand why Thursday is the day that works best for us to serve you We have attempted many other markets throughout the years to serve our HD community: Saturday in 2002 - Apple Valley Again on Saturdays in 2005 - VVC... Sundays in 2011 - Adelanto Wednesday Evenings in 2013/2014- Hesperia Due to lack of customer flow we were unable to continue these weekend and evening markets and have found our numbers at their highest on Thursday mornings. Many of our farmers and vendors attend other local markets on the weekends and evenings throughout the week! See below for more information to find a market that fits your hours Guess What?! Did You Know... There are only about 700 certified farmers markets in the state of CA. Just because the market claims they’re certified by saying it in their name or banner or website DOES NOT mean they are. (See updated PDF link from CDFA CA below of other local certified markets) There are only 2k certified producers in the state. They are the only farmers that can participate in certified markets and come from distances as far away as 300 miles to serve OUR community! Talk about making an effort! Cities with a higher population draw farmers to participate in those markets likes the ones on Saturdays in Redlands or Rancho Cucamonga, more people=more business 26+ years ago when we chose our operating day to be Thursday, we went off studies at the time showing the busiest day of the week for grocery stores We feel for the people that do work many people that work daytime business hours (9-5) either come on their lunch break or they come early before work (we have a few vendors and farmers who come early for customers) It costs a great deal of money to operate a CERTIFIED Farmers Market, it's not just a one-size-fits-all situation, every market is unique and we pride ourselves in being one of the best Our Farmers Market is actually one of the busiest ones in the state that is classified as a medium to large market We must be doing something right if we've been open 26+ years! Without our farmers and vendors we wouldn’t be able to serve you, our amazing community! Thank You to ALL for your support!
