Hester Fabrication

We are looking to add skilled fabricators to our shop team! Our ideal candidate has 5-10 years of experience working in a fabrication shop, is comfortable running a variety of machines, and also has some supervising experience. Our fabricators need to consistently make high quality parts using a wide range of skills and tools like a plasma cutter, press brakes, mills, drills, cold saws, bandsaws, overheard cranes, forklifts, grinders, and taps. They need to be able to weld M...IG, FCAW and hopefully TIG. Reading drawings, doing layout, and building high tolerance parts and assemblies should be second nature. We’re looking for humble hard-workers with lots of skills and confidence, but also a constant thirst to learn and improve their craft every day. We've been busy over here at the shop! Due to the nature of what we do, our jobs cross a variety different industries and purposes. Once in a while, we complete a project, and find that our solution really fills a void in that particular industry. So after some research, design edits, testing, etc., some of our one-time projects eventually have become product lines, and now live under a new domain. 4D Industrial Solutions. Here is the latest gun safe we made. The owner wanted his initials on it so we put some polished stainless plate on the hinges for him.

Here is a little clip of a recent project we did. They are industrial weld fixtures. The piece in them is just for testing. They will now ship off to be used to manufacture columns for buildings and industrial plants.

Are you an expert in Solidworks?? Do you know someone who is? We're looking to add to the team! We need someone who is a top shelf Solidworks operator (or Autocad Inventor). This person must be a true expert in developing 3D models of weldments and sheetmetal as well as shop drawing creation and revision control. CNC and shop experience would be a big plus as well. We have projects from race car parts to stair cases and everything else in between right now and need some good help. If you're interested send an email with samples of your work. We would consider a part time worker if they had exceptional ability.

Here is a video of the custom gun safe we just finished. Not only did we fabricate this safe in its entirety but we also did 100% of the design in Solidworks. We put an album of all the process pictures up as well.

A Custom Gun Safe we designed and built for a customer. The main body is 3/16" Steel and the door skin is 1/2" Plate. It is protected with 5/8" fireboard on the inside. It has racks for 10 pistols and 10 long guns as well as a deep shelf for lots of ammo storage.

Got most of the parts cut, bent, and machined today. We will start putting together this custom gun safe tomorrow.
