Thinking of painting an interior room yellow? Most experts don’t recommend using yellow for flooring, since the bright hues can be distracting and agitating; however, using a light or warm hue on your ceilings or walls can create a luminous and glowing look.
Lead paint was first created in the 1700s when it was discovered that the lead powder helped the paint retain its color almost indefinitely. In 1978, the Environmental Protection Agency banned lead-based house paint because of health dangers.
If we will be painting or staining bare wood, we recommend applying a sealer. Doing so protects the wood and prevents the growth of mold, and it can be formulated with UV blockers to prevent damage from sunlight.
