You don't get to meet our special crew in the back too often so this week we want to shine a light on one of our amazing cooks, Riley. Fun Facts: She’s born & raised in Encinitas and got this job when she met Chef Brian Malarkey while dining at Herb & Wood! Her fave dish on the menu is the Branzino for its crispy skin and because it is wonderfully filling while still being a light meal. ... What Chef Sara says about Riley: "Rylee was the very first person I interviewed and hired for Herb & Sea! I knew she'd be a great fit because of her incredibly positive energy. Recently, she's moved on to the hot line and she's a force to be reckoned with!" Keep it up Riley!

It's been quite a journey this past month, but it was all worth it because The Moonlight Deck has arrived! We created an 1,800-square-foot seaside patio atop our former parking lot enough to seat nearly over 100 of our neighbors and friends! Tonight's Special: Seared bluefin tuna caught 70 miles from the coast of San Clemente. Chef @brianmalarkey broke this down himself and shared it with us to make this dish specially for you. Made with charred and roasted fennel, calabrian chili relish, blood oranges, golden tangerines, torpedo onions, and a tahini green goddess dressing that adds a creamy, nutty mouth-feel. Enjoy.
